Exquisite Silk Lampas! Natchez XVIII Century, a reproduction of an 18th century Italian design, this large-scale lampas with a pineapple was produced for Stanton Hall, a palatial mansion constructed in the 1850s, in Natchez, Mississippi. This pattern was revived by Scalamandre in 1962.  Pineapple, the symbol of hospitality and luxury, also has such a playful side of it.

If you go to Huntington Gardens in Los Angeles, California, you can see how it enlivens the main library. Magnetic yet natural. Classic and timeless.
