International Orders
YES, WE SHIP WORLD-WIDE. International buyers pay actual shipping cost. Silkresource.com system cannot accept foreign shipping address yet, so please put your foreign shipping address under “Billing Address”, and use address below as “Shippi ng address”:

Swatches
Yes, samples available for items over 5yards. Look for the Order Sample Button. Most samples are 3×4 inches (7.6x10cm).
Designer and Trade Discount
Yes, please email us your documentation (resale certificate) and we will send you our terms for designer discount.
Returns
Items can be returned within 14 days of receipt for refund, minus 20% restocking fees. No questions asked. $8.99 shipping is not refundable. Buyer pays return shipping. Please be advised return shipping cost more than $8.99. (Most of our parcels cost $30-100 to ship & we are actually paying part of the shipping when you purchase fabrics here.) Merchandise must be in original condition (uncut, clean & no damage). Please return to same address as on your shipping label.
Tracking
Yes, Tracking is always automatically emailed to you, as well as added to silkresource.com order page when we ship it. Please check your spam filter. Only exception: small sample orders (free shipping) are shipped as a letter thus have no tracking. Email us at sales@silkresource.com if you don’t receive tracking.
Shipping time
We ship everything within 1 business day. Often within same day. Within 48 States, it takes 2-6 business days for 99% of the parcels. Fedex, USPS or UPS tracking is emailed to each order automatically.
Packing
We pack with extreme care. Professional bag (about $2/each) & tube ($3 each.) Normally 1-3yds are folded & 4yds+ on a tube.
Back-ordered
All our fabric is already with us (unless otherwise clearly noted)—we do not order from somewhere else, thus everything is for immediate delivery.
Restock
Chances are, no (sorry!). At 65-90% off retail (often below production cost), most of our fabrics are not re-orderable or retockable. In rare cases of us running into the same item again, the price may be different (often higher because their price keeps going up year after year). That said, if you like it, buy it now.
Can you order other fabrics for me?
Yes, we have accounts with all those designer exclusive brands: Scalamandre, Brunschwig & Fils, Lee Jofa, Clarence House, GP & J Baker, Kravet, F. Schumacher and more. We can order for you with discount.
Taxes
By law, California residents pay CA tax. International buyers are responsible to any import duties & taxes of their own country.
Custom order
Yes! We can custom design and produce high quality fabric for you, mostly silk. Within 20yards minimum order, $250 flat design fee including 1yard sample made for your approval. Most orders are priced $95-150/yard (only) when custom design on the market mostly goes for $300++ per yard with 100yds minimum. Please contact for details.
Sewing service

Layaway
Layaway is available for order over $1000. 20% security deposit is required. We will put items on hold once 20% deposit is made. The rest of payment needs to be made in next 4-6 weeks. **If buyer fails to complete the transaction, 20% security deposit is NOT refundable.** Please order sample for layaway orders because returns will not be accepted on layaway orders. Or you can use online credit program such as Pay Later.

Colors
All our photos are taken under natural light (bright indoors) which provides highest accuracy. Ordering sample is also a great solution. Cream/off white/beige/white/ivory can be tricky, so we put pure white paper (printing paper) in photo to show contrast.
Durability
Durability is listed in each item. Please read item by item.
Some fabrics the supplier does not offer the double rub data and some they do. When they do, we list the number.
Cleanability
Almost all designer interior fabrics are dry clean only.
As far as we know, vacuum clean the drapery, slip cover or upholstery regularly will do the job; then you can dry clean it once every few years. It is much safer than water wash.
Small area of stain can be cleaned with spot cleaning of baby wipes or rubbing alcohol. Use circular movement.
In reality you might get away with water-wash some of them (like canvas or plain weave linen) but there is no guarantees. *You need to personally make that decision.*
Water wash may shrink the fiber and make it uneven. Thus water wash, if you are willing to take the risk, must be done before cutting and sewing.
Also a slipcover or drapery made from 7-8yds fabric may be too big for most home washers.
