100% silk jacquard in traditional Japanese motif. Very high quality. Almost 0.5lb/yard. Fully reversible.
The threads are tightly woven that the texture is slightly leathery. Please see the varied textures: low sheen satin, matte and then slightly grainy. Large blossoms are arranged in a rhythmic order that can be used for many applications.
The design is inspired by Kimono textile. Chrysanthemum, blooming in colder days of autumn when other flowers are asleep, symbolizes resilience, longevity, rejuvenation and nobility. Chrysanthemum is also the crest flower of Japanese Emperor, as well as the Imperial Seal of Japan.
Silk jacquard of this quality retails for $300+/yard.
