Yes, Tracking is automatically emailed to buyer’s email associated with the order, as well as added to silkresource.com order page when we ship it. It’s sent within minutes when label is generated. If you have multiple email addresses, Please check the right email inbox and your spam filter. Email us at sales@silkresource.com if you don’t receive tracking.

Yes! We offer fabric samples for most items with more than 5 yards available. Look for the “Order Sample” button on each product listing.

We offer three sample options:

• Standard Fabric Sample: 3" × 4"

• Large Fabric Sample: 3" × 10"

• Trim Sample: 3" in length

Samples are shipped via USPS Ground Advantage with tracking. If your address cannot receive USPS deliveries, please let us know.

For addresses requiring UPS or FedEx, additional shipping charges may apply.

Why Do We Charge for Samples?

At Silk Resource, we strive to offer exceptional designer fabrics at competitive prices. While we keep our sample fees as low as possible, a small charge helps offset the costs of fabric, preparation, and shipping.

Unlike traditional designer showrooms that may offer complimentary memos to trade professionals, our fabrics are often priced significantly below standard retail, allowing us to pass those savings along to our customers.

We offer both standard (3" × 4") and large (3" × 10") fabric samples to help you select the right material for your project.

Delivery time: USPS Priority, most packages take 12-20 days to most major cities.

USPS Express, 5-10 days for most major cities. Delay is common for international package which is not within sender’s control.

Yes, we offer trade program for business in design and decoration. Please complete the online application and include your resale certificate or business registration. We will review and send you our terms for designer discount.

Refund Policy

We ship everything within 1 business day (except Special Order and Custom Order). Often within same day. Within 48 States, it takes 2-8 business days for 99% of the parcels.

Shipping Policy

We pack with extreme care. Professional bag and several layers of protection.  Normally 1-3yds are folded & 4yds+ on a tube.

98% of our inventory is already with us (unless clearly noted as “Special Order” or “Custom Order:)—we do not order from somewhere else, thus everything is for immediate delivery.

Chances are, no (sorry!). At 60-90% off retail, most of our fabrics are not re-orderable or restockable. In rare cases of us running into the same item again, the price may be different (often higher because their price keeps going up). That said, if you like it, buy it now.

Yes, we have accounts with all those designer exclusive brands: Scalamandre, Brunschwig & Fils, Lee Jofa, Clarence House, GP & J Baker, Kravet, F. Schumacher and more. We can order for you with discount.

By law, California residents pay CA tax. International buyers are responsible to any import duties & taxes of their own country.

Yes! We can custom design and produce high quality fabric for you, mostly silk. 

Minimum order: 20 yards.

Design fee: $250 flat per item. It includes 1yard sample made for your approval.  

Price: Case by case. Most of our custom silk are priced at $100 (simple solid)-245/yard (heavy silk jacquard and lampas), while custom design on the market mostly goes for $300-$800+ per yard with 100yds minimum.

All payments for custom order is not refundable.

Step 1: Buyer provides design or fabric sample. Fabric sample is preferred.

Step 2: Silkresource analyzes the sample and provides an approximate price quote and lead time. This takes about 2 weeks.

Step 3: If the pattern is new, buyer pays $250 flat design fee (not refundable) to develop the sample for buyer to approve. Lead time to produce new pattern: 3-5 weeks.

Step 4: After buyer approves the sample. Buyer makes full payment and production starts within 1-2 weeks of the payment.

Step 5: Leadtime to finish the production: 8-12 weeks.

Step 6: Silkresource ships the product to buyer. 1-2 weeks.

If you want a custom color from our existing design, the process will be faster.

Yes, our highly professional sewing room can make drapery, bedding, table-skirt and pillows. Please provide information listed here for price quote: Sewing Only: Custom Sewing & Design— Drapery, Pillows, Cushions, Bedding

Sorry, we do not offer this service.

This is the norm of the trade: fabric and wallpaper sellers do not cut material for specific projects. Cutting is best left to the seamstress, upholsterer, installer, or workroom handling the project.

Examples include:

• Can you cut the 12 yards into 3 panels at size x?
• Can you cut the 4 yards in the middle?
• Here is a diagram, can you cut these pieces for my pillows?

Sorry, we cannot do this for several reasons:

1. Your project idea may change after seeing the actual full yards.
2. We may cut it wrong because we are not professional seamstresses, upholsterers, installers, or workrooms.
3. Cutting fabric can be very time consuming.
4. If a client decides to return or exchange, the cut fabric or wallpaper will have no value.

One order can have only one shipping address. This keeps records, tracking, and shipping charges clear. For different shipping addresses, please place separate orders, each with its own shipping address.

Layaway is available for order over $5000. 20% security deposit is required. We will put items on hold once 20% deposit is made. The rest of payment needs to be made in next 4-6 weeks. **If buyer fails to complete the transaction, 20% security deposit is NOT refundable.** Please order sample for layaway orders because returns will not be accepted on layaway orders. Or you can use online credit program such as Pay Later.

Sorry, we do not “hold” products for potential future purchase.  We thank you for understanding that this service is time consuming and, from years of experience, often messed up our inventory control.

All our photos are taken under natural light (bright indoors) which provides highest accuracy. Ordering sample is also a great solution. Cream/off white/beige/white/ivory can be tricky, so we put pure white paper (printing paper) in photo to show contrast.

Durability is listed in each item. Please read item by item. 

Some fabrics the supplier does not offer the double rub data and some they do. When they do, we list the number. 

Almost all designer interior fabrics are dry clean only.

As far as we know, vacuum clean the drapery,  slip cover or upholstery regularly will do the job; then you can dry clean it once every few years. It is much safer than water wash. 

Small area of stain can be cleaned with spot cleaning of baby wipes or rubbing alcohol. Use circular movement.

In reality you might get away with water-wash some of them (like canvas or plain weave linen) but there is no guarantees. *You need to personally make that decision.*

Water wash may shrink the fiber and make it uneven. Thus water wash, if you are willing to take the risk, must be done before cutting and sewing.

Also a slipcover or drapery made from 8+yards fabric may be too big for most home washers.
