Blakely was a high end textile/tailor store since 1890.

Peony & Chinese Longevity character (壽）.

Peony is for prosperity, nobility and beauty while Longevity is for health and a good golden age.

A piece of history in your hand. This kind of silk jacquard with light weight is one of my favorite weaves but rarely in production now.

It's buttery soft but not prone to pull as modern silk satin.

It's Lighter weight but not sheer. A perfect balance between glamor and functionality. Whole piece weighs7.6oz (215grams).

Use it for a dress, shirt, pajama or lining.

Condition: pristine. No fading or any issues. Brand new.
