This is a style of textiles combining Eastern craftsmanship and a Western aesthetic produced between the seventeenth and early nineteenth centuries. This graceful print offers stylized boughs, birds and blossoms in large scale, a detail kept from the original document. Block printed on a lightweight silk ground, this elegant drapery fabric takes hours to produce 1 yard in England.
