Besides embroidery with finer threads, thick shining rope is used to highlight the edge of the flower. This “corded” detail and technique enable the flowers to “pop” and “float” above the base cloth.
This embroidery offers an intricate, textural range of stunning designs. The branches are outlined with corded detail. Each flora is finished with a leaf that leads to another large flower. Like one musical note flows into another, each note has it own exquisite feelings. By using new techniques, Kravet creates the effect of a hand stitched fabric.
