The background is almost like hand hammered metal, neutral but iridescent. The peony blossom, foliage and stems are done in bright colors that truly pop, just like the first hint of red or pink from peony buds. When most peony designs depicts the full bloom, "Drizzle" notices the tender beauty of peony buds and first bloom. Early spring often is ushered in by gentle shower or drizzle.
