Octavia drapes like liquid---or melted gold.
One of Brunschwig & Fils' proudest creations, printed gilt onto silk velvet. The shimmers comes from 3 sources: the gilt's gold, the velvet pile's iridescence, and the inner beam of silk and viscose fiber.

The print is in such perfection: the colors, the shape, the details and the size. You can cut it in many ways for different project.

The print is "stamped" into the velvet pile thus to achieve a different texture against the background.
Suitable for drapery (please see last few photos), upholstery and garment (1920s?)

MSRP $394/yard a few years ago. Now similar printed silk velvet retails for about $500/yard.
Brunschwig & fils' data says "Heavy duty 20,000 rubs", but the velvet is rather soft.
