Avvoltoio is one of those silk lampases that will make you hold your breath for a few seconds. The beauty is simply other worldly. Woven in one of the oldest silk mills around Lake Como, it's from the same weavers who create textile for Pope, museums and historical sites.
This highly intricate design is a historical creation when cost was not a concern for the Kings. The elaborate and delicate rose garlands dances over fruity fuchsia pink, that also has a hint or real-rose in it; the a bright silver lace also blends into the background, adding another layer of .

A lampas is a traditional weaving technique wherein weft yarns “draw” on the fabric’s surface with minimal influence from the warp. These weft floats offer crisp color and subtle texture in the pattern’s finely rendered stems, leaves and blossoms. Antonella Lampas offers classic luxury and perennial style as statement drapes or light upholstery.

Suitable for drapery & garment. Scalamandre rates it as " LIGHT DUTY DRAPERY", but based on our experience, Avvoltoio can work for light duty upholstery such as decorative pillows too.

Sample Shipping
Shipping for samples is $4.99 within the United States. Samples are mailed with USPS Ground in a manila envelope. This allows us to offer tracking for all your sample orders, which customers have found very helpful. We used to offer a stamp option for samples shipping but we found that most customers wanted tracking, so we eliminated that as an option.
What if I want my samples expedited? We can offer USPS Priority mail which is 2-4 business days. Just check out for "Standard" shipping. It's the shipping that costs $8.49 and we will get that to you right away.

Fabric orders, except special and custom orders, can be returned within 30 days of receipt for refund or exchange, minus a 20% restocking fee. No questions asked. Buyer pays return shipping. Merchandise must be in original condition (uncut, clean & no damage).
