Superb weight & tightly woven. Almost leathery. The shimmer very much resembles the Japanese lacquer-ware.

The exuberant wild flowers, bushes and foliage are generously laid out in a natural pattern. Very unusual for such high quality silk damask. The extra width translates into wider range of useage, especially for upholstery.
