Vibrant iris flower prints! Here designer Kazumi Yoshida at Clarence House pays homage to one of the most beloved symbol of Japanese traditional art, Iris.
As vibrant as a Japanese painting. This cotton print depicts eight types of iris in bloom. Printed in Italy, where iris is also the flower of Florence. Flowers knows no boundary, just as the arts in Asia and Europe have cross pollinated more than most people realize.
100% cotton percale.
Weight: about 0.5lb per yard. Medium-light but very steady. Suitable for both drapery, upholstery, garment and even frame it as fine art.

Each flower square measures 10"wide x 12"long.
The last image is arguably the most renowned iris painting in Japan, if not the world, is the glorious Kakitsubata-zu by Ogata Korin (1658-1716). 紙本金地著色燕子花図, shihonkinji chakushoku kakitsubata-zu.
The proud owner of this masterpiece, a designated National Treasure, is the Nezu Museum in Tokyo. It depicts bunches of abstracted blue Japanese irises in bloom, and their green foliage, creating a rhythmically repeating but varying pattern across the panels.
2nd last image is the famous "Iris Garden at Meiji Shrine. Toky" by Hasui, Kawase, 1883-1957.

Sample Shipping
Shipping for samples is $4.99 within the United States. Samples are mailed with USPS Ground in a manila envelope. This allows us to offer tracking for all your sample orders, which customers have found very helpful. We used to offer a stamp option for samples shipping but we found that most customers wanted tracking, so we eliminated that as an option.
What if I want my samples expedited? We can offer USPS Priority mail which is 2-4 business days. Just check out for "Standard" shipping. It's the shipping that costs $8.49 and we will get that to you right away.

Fabric orders, except special and custom orders, can be returned within 30 days of receipt for refund or exchange, minus a 20% restocking fee. No questions asked. Buyer pays return shipping. Please be advised return shipping cost more than $8.99. (Most of our parcels cost $30-100 to ship & we are actually paying part of the shipping when you purchase fabrics here.) Merchandise must be in original condition (uncut, clean & no damage).
