Minimum $75 per project for first hour.
After that $60/hour.
- Help client picking the right fabric (yours, ours or third vendors). This process is vital and very nuanced. We can help you avoid expensive mistakes. This process can take days and hours and 20+ emails. Whatever it takes, we are here until the best choice for you is made. Most of us have to either hire a designer or spend hours and even days learning the "which & what" and still make less than ideal decisions.
- Calculating yardages: A lot of interior designer or upholstery shop will quote yardage on the higher side to save their own time & trouble. Clients ends up with extra yards of fabric. We see this again and again.
- Budgeting: So often a client comes for a fabric in our store, after learning their actual project and budget, we'd find something cheaper for them. We can also source and direct client to a better budget, by changing design, item or vendor. Recently we have save a client $2000+ for their draperies (yardage saving+sewing labor).
- Design consultation: The right design, size, trim, lined or interlined, aesthetics & care means a world of difference. How to coordinate the fabric with your house, room, furniture, rugs, windows, landscape and even future acquisitions?

How do we work together?
Email is much preferred way of communication: time efficient, easy to organize and follow, photo exchange and time tracking).
Email us your project summary, photos of the room, inspiration etc. Initial exchange/call is free.
After you decide to hire us, please pay $75 for first hour.
Rest will be billed at end of each week.

Free Shipping
Free shipping is available on orders over $499 within the United States.
Economy Shipping
We offer Economy shipping for a flat rate of $8.99 per order within the United States. Orders typically ship out in 1–4 business days and usually arrive in 5–8 business days. Shipping may be via UPS, USPS, FedEx, or equivalent. Tracking is provided for every order.
Standard and Express Shipping
We also offer Standard and Express shipping within the United States. Rates for these services vary depending on the order value and shipment details. Please proceed to checkout to see the exact shipping options, transit times, and charges available for your order.
Fabric Handling for Small Cuts
For fabric orders of 1–4, we may fold the fabric to upgrade shipping from standard Ground delivery (typically 5–8 business days) to faster service (typically 2–3 business days).
If you prefer your fabric to remain on a roll, please include a note with your order. In that case, the order will ship via Ground service with standard transit times.
Sample Shipping
Shipping for samples is $4.99 within the United States. Samples are mailed in a manila envelope using USPS Ground Advantage or equivalent service. Tracking is included for all sample orders.
If you would like your samples faster, please choose a faster shipping option at checkout. Available options and pricing will be shown there.

Most orders ship within 1–4 business days. Delivery time depends on the shipping method selected at checkout and the destination. Tracking is emailed automatically when your order ships.
Custom Orders
Custom orders need to be manufactured. Please allow 8–12 weeks after payment.
Special Orders
Delivery time for special orders varies. Please contact us for an estimate at sales@silkresource.com.

YES, WE SHIP WORLD-WIDE. International buyers pay actual shipping cost.

Delivery time: USPS Priority, most packages take 12-20 days to most major cities.
USPS Express, 5-10 days for most major cities. Delay is common for international package which is not within sender’s control.

Fabric, Wallpaper and Trims
Cut by yardage orders, except special and custom orders, can be returned within 30 days of receipt for refund or exchange, minus a 20% restocking fee. No questions asked. Buyer pays return shipping. Please be advised return shipping cost more than $8.99. (Most of our parcels cost $30-100 to ship & we are actually paying part of the shipping when you purchase fabrics here.) Merchandise must be in original condition (uncut, clean & no damage). For orders cancelled before we get to cut the merchandise, we can refund the client fully minus the 3% credit card processing fee which the credit card company will not refund to sellers. If the merchandise has been cut, there will be a 20% restocking fee.

Sometimes a client cancels the order before we get to ship it.
For orders cancelled before we get to cut the merchandise,
we can refund the client fully minus the 3% credit card processing fee
which the credit card company will not refund to sellers.
If we already cut the merchandise, there will be a 20% restocking fee.
Special Orders
Sales of items marked as Special Order are final and cannot be returned. Please Contact Us if you have any questions before placing your order. Please note some Special Orders may be in production and new yardage will be available in 2-10 weeks.
In the rare case that a Special Order item is discontinued (no more production), we will refund client but minus 3% credit card processing fees which has been charged by the credit card company.
Customer Orders
Sales of items marked as Custom Order are final and cannot be returned. Please Contact Us if you have any questions before finalizing your purchase.
Samples
Sample sales are final and samples cannot be returned.

Cutting Fabric or Wallpaper
We do not cut fabric or wallpaper to project-specific measurements or diagrams. Fabric and wallpaper are sold as ordered yardage or rolls. Cutting for installation, upholstery, pillows, drapery, or other projects should be handled by the customer’s workroom, installer, seamstress, or upholsterer.
Cut fabric or wallpaper has no return or exchange value and must remain in original, uncut condition to qualify for return under this policy.
