The founders of Old World Weavers started the business because they found many textiles simply were not available in US. Broche Damask must be one of those. Made in Italy, with accurate composition and graphic design, period correct fiber blend (silk, linen and cotton), Broche renders large blossoms into both medallion and stripes. Fully reversible, you are like getting 4 designs in one textile. The colors are delicious. Compared with most red and gold combo, Broche is more fruity (think apricot or peach and rose), subtle and light-hearted.
One side is a rosy pink, orange, peach with bright yellow gold. "Wrong" side is a surprising bright red and beige.
Such silk, cotton, line blend historical brocade now retails for over $500/yard.
