Balik is a truly timeless hand crewel. Please see the it on the screen of Elysian Bar in New Orleans www.theelysianbar.com. Wool thread is meticulously embroidered onto heavy jute basecloth. This is rather unusual because right now most similar crewel are done on cotton, yet jute was more historically accurate. This simple yet sophisticated tree of life pattern originated in India, populated to whole Europe by the British Import starting in early 1700s, then rest of the globe. Sample Shipping
Shipping for samples is $4.99 within the United States. Samples are mailed with USPS Ground in a manila envelope. This allows us to offer tracking for all your sample orders, which customers have found very helpful. We used to offer a stamp option for samples shipping but we found that most customers wanted tracking, so we eliminated that as an option.
What if I want my samples expedited? We can offer USPS Priority mail which is 2-4 business days. Just check out for "Standard" shipping. It's the shipping that costs $8.49 and we will get that to you right away.

Fabric orders, except special and custom orders, can be returned within 30 days of receipt for refund or exchange, minus a 20% restocking fee. No questions asked. Buyer pays return shipping. Please be advised return shipping cost more than $8.99. (Most of our parcels cost $30-100 to ship & we are actually paying part of the shipping when you purchase fabrics here.) Merchandise must be in original condition (uncut, clean & no damage).
