Aldeburgh Paisley is a renown historical design circa 1900, featuring faithful elements from Indian Palampores. They typically show a central flower-and-fruit-bearing serpentine tree emerging from a hillock with stylized peaks or rocks.
The delicate yet robust lines, the simple yet sophisticated teal blue, multi rose pink, red, pale mustard yellow comes in 14 screens. Such meticulousness is obvious upon first look. Other prints in similar style may cut corners by using cheaper base cloth and only 4-6 screens.
This timeless beauty will last for decades in your home, from magnificent drapery to eye catching upholstery, from a small pillow to an encompassing bed canopy.
This cotton features a softer hand thus very flowy and airy.
Palampores were a regular feature of the eighteenth-century chintz trade to Europe, where they were prized as wall hangings and bed and table coverings.
