Belluno is very hard to capture on camera because the contrast is subtle. Then the unique and high quality texture is even harder to convey.
It is a truely unique jacquard. Similar symmetric damask is ubiquitously available in every retails store or online, but once you lay your hands on Belluno, you'd realize all those are just imitation of the "real thing".
Belluno is the real thing: intricate lines and patterns----it easily takes 3 times to design all the details than a regular 'damask".
100% Viscose are made into different yarns in different thickness, texture and color, which adds several layers of texture. Slightly sculptural, Belluno feels almost like a Matelasse. Soft, cuddly yet durable.
Heavy! About 1.5 lbs/yard. Suitable for both drapery & upholstery.
The name of Belluno is derived from Celtic belo-dunum which means "shining hill, referring to Dolomite mountain range. The town was founded perhaps around 220-200 BC.

Sample Shipping
Shipping for samples is $4.99 within the United States. Samples are mailed with USPS Ground in a manila envelope. This allows us to offer tracking for all your sample orders, which customers have found very helpful. We used to offer a stamp option for samples shipping but we found that most customers wanted tracking, so we eliminated that as an option.
What if I want my samples expedited? We can offer USPS Priority mail which is 2-4 business days. Just check out for "Standard" shipping. It's the shipping that costs $8.49 and we will get that to you right away.

Fabric orders, except special and custom orders, can be returned within 30 days of receipt for refund or exchange, minus a 20% restocking fee. No questions asked. Buyer pays return shipping. Please be advised return shipping cost more than $8.99. (Most of our parcels cost $30-100 to ship & we are actually paying part of the shipping when you purchase fabrics here.) Merchandise must be in original condition (uncut, clean & no damage).
