Each design is a celebration of artisanship, inspired by exquisite forms and cultural traditions. Following our first collaboration with The Met in the 1970s, we bring museum magic into the home once again in homage to history and the grand beauty of art.
Combat on foot between contestants separated by a waist-height barrier was a popular sport in European courts during the 16th and 17th centuries. Our Saxony products are inspired by the patterning on combat armor commissioned for CHRISTIAN I OF AUGSBURG during the 16th Century. The gilded adornments cover the breastplate and additional detailed areas to give the work a sense of craftmanship and regal delicacy.

We offer $8.99 per order flat shipping rate for orders within United States. Shipping is by UPS ground or equivalent. We strive to ship your order in 1 business day. Often same day. Within 48 States, it takes 2-4 business days for 99% of the parcels. UPS or USPS tracking is emailed to each order.
Sample Shipping
Shipping for samples is $4.99 within the United States. Samples are mailed with USPS Ground in a manila envelope. This allows us to offer tracking for all your sample orders, which customers have found very helpful. We used to offer a stamp option for samples shipping but we found that most customers wanted tracking, so we eliminated that as an option.
What if I want my samples expedited? We can offer USPS Priority mail which is 2-4 business days. Just check out for "Standard" shipping. It's the shipping that costs $8.49 and we will get that to you right away.

Fabric orders, except special and custom orders, can be returned within 30 days of receipt for refund or exchange, minus a 20% restocking fee. No questions asked. Buyer pays return shipping. Please be advised return shipping cost more than $8.99. (Most of our parcels cost $30-100 to ship & we are actually paying part of the shipping when you purchase fabrics here.) Merchandise must be in original condition (uncut, clean & no damage).
