Rigato Vitozzi means Stripes of Vitozzi. Possibly related to Ascanio Vitozzi, an Italian soldier, architect, and military engineer. He contributed to prominant projects including Castle of Rivoli, the Sanctuary of Vicoforte (near Mondovì), the church of Corpus Domini, and the Royal Palace of Turin. This silk jacquard is incredibly exquisite. The precision of the mancusline stripes offers almost a contrast against the ferminine flowers and vines. The varied textures tells many moods and colors.
