"Siviglia" is the Italian name for the Spanish city of Seville, which itself comes from the ancient Phoenician word "Spal," meaning "lowland" or "valley". The name evolved through Roman and Arabic languages before its modern Spanish form, Sevilla. This textile shows the rich Arabic history in Seville. Intricate diamond lattice, woven with exceptional paisley. They are characterized by large-scale stylized motifs often highlighted by shimmering metallic threads. The colorway is "blue" but the dominant color is more gold copper. Blue and sage green, in muted tones, highlight the very balanced pattern. MSRP $252/yard. Heavy, about 1lb/yard. APPROX.
