Natchez XVIII Century, a reproduction of an 18th century Italian design, this large-scale lampas with a pineapple was produced for Stanton Hall, a palatial mansion constructed in the 1850s, in Natchez, Mississippi. This pattern was revived by Scalamandre in 1962. Pineapple, the symbol of hospitality and luxury, also has such a playful side of it. If you go to Huntington Gardens in Los Angeles, California, you can see how it enlivens the main library. Magnetic yet natural. Classic and timeless. It “crunches” between your fingers but the substance is butter soft. Color: “Ripe Peach and Cream” is the official name given by Scalamandre.
